Course Overview:
The Certified Pelvic Floor Rehab Specialist (CPFRS) program is designed for healthcare and fitness professionals seeking expertise in pelvic floor dysfunction assessment, rehabilitation, and exercise therapy. This course covers evidence-based strategies to manage conditions such as incontinence, pelvic pain, and postpartum recovery.
Course objectives:
- - Identify common pelvic floor disorders and dysfunctions
- - Learn assessment techniques for pelvic health conditions.
- - Design safe and effective rehabilitation programs.
- - Integrate pelvic floor exercises into physiotherapy and fitness training.
Course Modules
1. Introduction & Physiology 'Women's Pelvis Size and Shape can be transformed'
2. Anatomy and Biomechanics of the Pelvis , Anatomy of Pelvic Floor Muscles / Physiology of Pelvic Organs.
3. Identify the muscles layers and specific muscles of the pelvic floor.
4. Chronic Pelvic Pain Mechanism.
5. List the pelvic floor muscle functions , The role of the Pelvic Floor in Respiration.
6. Practical mapping external and internal pelvic floor complex.
7. Define and perform vaginal palpation and biofeedback (application).
8. Practical anatomy, examination, palpation and manual therapy release techniques for the pelvic floor.
9. Connectives tissue dysfunction & pudendal neuralgia in cpp.
10. List of suitable outcome measure tools for Uninary incontinence - Pelvic organ prolapses - Pelvic Pain Pelvic Floor Assessment / Internal assessment (TV-TR), & external assessment - Tools TV-RV probes, wand diators, v cones weight, EPI-NO.
11. Soft Tissue manipulation approaches to chronic pelvic pain ( internal and external)
12. Understanding evidence based Dry Needling for Pelvic Floor Muscles - Dry Needling for Pelvic Floor - Pelvic Floor neural needling - Dry Needling Pelvic Floor disfunction - Trigger points.
13. Current evidence based practice in electrotherapy for PFM ( biofeedback pelvic training vaginal probe, EMG, HIMEF, EMS, TUS, TENS, IFT.
14. Develop evidence-based treatment plans and progressive clinical goals for female Pelvic Floor Dysfunctions.
15. Nutrition in Chronic Pelvic pain.
